Grisedale Tarn Three Peaks

Service Description

Just around the corner from the picturesque town of Grasmere, Grisedale Tarn sits perfectly nestled between three peaks; Seat Sandal (736m), Dollywaggon Pike (858m) and Fairfield (873m). This walk takes us to the top to all three of these from smallest to largest, circumnavigating the tarn before descending back to our start point. On this route, we step away from the main footpaths, using routes that lead us directly (and in doing so relatively steeply) to each of our three summits. This is definitely a challenging route, and one for those of you who have a head for heights, but it also offers a great sense of achievement and satisfaction - and it's definitely a walk you can talk proudly of in the pub when you are off the fell. Due to its challenging nature - I do ask that all participants taking part in this walk have previous experience of hiking in the fells and a good level of fitness (you will be asked to detail this on the participation form sent out after booking). I ask that all participants bring (as a minimum) the following to my walks: Waterproof Top and Bottoms Water Packed Lunch and plenty of Snacks Warm Layers Sun Protection If there is an item on the list that you don’t have but you’d still like to take part – please get in touch and I will try and find something for you to borrow. After sign up - you will be sent an email containing more information about the route, the things you need to bring, where we will meet and any special considerations. I will also email you within 48 hours of the walk to update you on expected weather conditions and any changes related to this.
